On the wedding day, friday the 29th of April 2011, an even more beautiful dress than the one worn by the Duchess of Cambridge took to the streets of Gateshead. This incredible creation took a revolving centre stage in front of GATESHEAD Town Hall for a special, unique installation performance by the SHAMBOLICA! collective for the opening of GIFT - Gateshead International Festival of Theatre (www.giftfestival.co.uk).
Regenerator was a multidisciplinary audiovisual performance creating a new unique symbol of hope and regeneration of our Gateshead landscape. This dynamic piece fused contemporary dance, costume, original music and performance art to create a symbolic architectural environment.

The performance was a real succes, with many people turning out to see this magical performance. Shambolica! would like to specially thank KATE from GIFT for allowing us to take part in the festival, also all the other performers who particiapted and the all the wonderful people of Newcastle and Gateshead who witnessed a great event.
